Candidate marketing claims
Below: every candidate copy variant the claim-mining agent drafted, vetted by both the Google Play compliance officer and the general regulatory officer (FTC §5 / EU UCPD / GDPR / accessibility). Each candidate is tagged PASS (ship as-is), EDIT (small change applied), or BLOCKED (don't ship until fixed). Pick what you like.
Hero subhead
Replaces the current line under the "Worldwide connectivity" headline.
Currently live
"Secure connection through a global VPN network."
"WireGuard tunnel from Android to a Panama-operated gateway. No account, no email, session data discarded on disconnect."
"Encrypted Android VPN with no signup and no email. WireGuard protocol, session data discarded on disconnect."
"Worldwide gateways, WireGuard protocol, no account required. Standard is free; Premium is $5.99/month."
Above-the-fold trust bullets
Replaces the current 4 bullets ("Encrypted connections / Session data discarded on disconnect / No account, no email required / 24/7 human email support").
Currently live
- Encrypted connections
- Session data discarded on disconnect
- No account, no email required
- 24/7 human email support
- PASS WireGuard-encrypted tunnel via Android's VpnService API
- EDIT No DNS query content, originating IP, or session timestamps retained after disconnect
Tightened from "no DNS, IP, or timestamp logs kept" — original collapsed two distinct facts (per Privacy Policy §2.6).
- PASS No account, no email, no password — Standard tier collects zero personal data
- EDIT 24/7 email support on both tiers; 30-day money-back on Premium
Dropped "human" — no published source substantiates humans-only-vs-assisted; FAQ says only "available 24×7 via email."
Play Store long-form description
~1900 chars (Play allows 4000). All edits and BLOCKED-fix applied. Title Case headers for screen-reader friendliness.
Final compliant draft
TuxlerVPN Mobile is a WireGuard VPN for Android, operated from Panama by Tuxler Digital Services Corp. No account, no email The Standard (free) tier requires no signup, no email address, no phone number, and no password. Your device authenticates with built-in credentials shared by every free user. There is no per-user account to leak, and we do not have an email address tied to your installation. WireGuard protocol The app uses WireGuard via Android's VpnService API, with ChaCha20-Poly1305 authenticated encryption and Curve25519 key agreement. The protocol is small, modern, and well suited to mobile networks: short handshakes, fast reconnects when you switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Session data discarded on disconnect We do not log the websites you visit, your DNS queries, your originating IP address during a VPN session, the bandwidth used, or session timestamps after the session closes. The full retention list is published at tuxlervpn.app/logging-retention-data. No advertising or analytics SDKs The app contains no advertising SDK, no attribution SDK, no Firebase, no Google Analytics, and no Google Advertising ID. The only third-party telemetry is Sentry crash reports, which never include your name, email, advertising identifier, or VPN traffic content. Always-on VPN and OEM support Works with Android's Always-on VPN setting; combine with Android's "Block connections without VPN" setting for OS-level kill-switch behavior. Auto-start prompt available on Xiaomi/MIUI devices. Reconnects automatically across reboots and network changes. Plans Standard is free at 1.2 Mbps down / 0.5 Mbps up. Premium is $5.99/month (regional pricing may apply via Google Play) at 14 Mbps down / 7 Mbps up, with priority email support. Connection speeds are reference values; actual throughput varies. Subscription auto-renews monthly until cancelled in Google Play → Subscriptions. Monthly only. No free trial. 30-day money-back on Premium — see tuxlervpn.app/refund-payment-policy for terms. Billing is handled entirely by Google Play; we do not store payment details. Governance Operated from Panama, a jurisdiction with no mandatory data-retention laws for VPN providers; we still respond to valid legal process — see tuxlervpn.app/law-enforcement-request-policy. GDPR-, UK GDPR-, and CCPA-aligned, with Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure programme published with safe harbour. Quarterly Transparency Report on the schedule documented at tuxlervpn.app/transparency-report. What this app is not for Everyday browsing, public Wi-Fi protection, and travel. Peer-to-peer file sharing and torrenting are not supported. The full list is at tuxlervpn.app/supported-and-prohibited-use-cases. Support: 24/7 by email at [email protected]. Premium subscribers can include their Google Play order ID for priority routing.
Edits applied vs. original draft:
- Always-on VPN: "kill-switch-equivalent protection" → "OS-level kill-switch behavior" (attributes the behavior to Android OS, not the app)
- Plans: added speed-variability hedge ("reference values"), explicit auto-renewal + cancellation path, link to refund policy. Without these, the Plans section was BLOCKED under FTC ROSCA / EU CRD Art. 8.
- Governance: appended legal-process caveat to the Panama line, so the implication "and therefore can't be compelled" is closed off
- Headers: ALL CAPS → Title Case (screen readers parse ALL CAPS as initialisms — WCAG 2.2 SC 1.3.1 / 3.1.4)
- Pricing wording: "regional Google Play pricing applies" → "regional pricing may apply via Google Play" (tighter trademark use)
Play Store feature-graphic captions
Designed to read at thumbnail. ≤30 chars each.
"WireGuard. No account."
"No DNS or IP logs retained"
Was: "No DNS or IP logs kept" — verb tightened to match Privacy Policy §2.6 phrasing.
"Always-on Android VPN"
"Free and Premium tiers"
Was: "Free, or $5.99/mo Premium" — Google forbids price/promo callouts on feature graphics (policy 9898842). Pricing belongs in the long description.
Play Store "What's new"
~380 chars. Used in changelog surface.
"A WireGuard VPN for Android with no signup, no email, and no password. We discard VPN-session data on disconnect — no DNS query content, originating IP, or session timestamps retained — and the app contains no advertising, attribution, or analytics SDK other than the Sentry crash reporter. Operated from Panama. Premium tier available via in-app subscription; auto-renews monthly until cancelled in Google Play."
Doc-hygiene fixes & dissents
Things the agents flagged that aren't direct copy proposals but matter for shipping.
CCPA notice contradicts every other doc
The CCPA notice (src/content/legal/ccpa-notice.md) lists "cookies, analytics, security tools" as a processed category. Cookie Policy,
Privacy Policy §2.7, and Security Practices all say no analytics cookies are currently
used. Resolve before any new claim about "no analytics" goes live in marketing.
"GDPR compliant" vs "GDPR-aligned" — pick one
The FAQ says "Yes, we are GDPR compliant." Marketing copy uses "aligned." Either upgrade marketing to "compliant" (substantive claim — needs documented evidence per ICO guidance) or downgrade FAQ to "aligned" (safer). Not both.
Conversion expert dissents on 6-badge homepage
The conversion expert (round 2) said the 6-badge stacking pushed past diminishing returns. Cites NN/g + Baymard + ConversionXL: trust marks lose ~60% of attention by the 4th repetition on a single scroll. Recommends pruning to 3 badges (hero + closing CTA + footer), removing the badges from "Why a VPN?", Standard pricing card, and Premium pricing card.
Higher-leverage misses they flagged:
- No real Play rating + install count anywhere on the page
- Standard $0 tier has no "no card" microcopy ON the Standard card itself
- Premium $5.99 has no anchor (no /month, no annual comparison)
- Closing CTA copy is weak ("Get secure connectivity in one tap")
- No platform clarity above the fold ("Android only" is implicit)
How to use this preview
Read through. Tell me which option(s) you want to ship for each section. I'll apply the edits to the live site, run a final compliance pass, and deploy. The blocked items (price on feature graphic + on changelog, missing auto-renewal disclosure) are already pre-fixed in the drafts above — they ship as the EDIT versions.
If you want any of the dissents acted on (3-badge prune, real Play rating, Premium price anchor, etc.), say so separately — those are out of scope for the claim-mining work but high-impact per the conversion expert.
